Heard about the new drink at a Bigfork Montana bar?
Rehberg & Barkus on the rocks.
Today a story from Hamilton Montana is about a local planning board official trying to save agricultural land he sees as important to the valley. His thoughts were a bit radical (to the locals anyway) and he was roundly criticized and called Communist, Marxist, wingnut and foo foo. What the heck is a foo foo? And why do community members think it is okay to vehemently shout down something they disagree with? Whatever happened to civility? Who raised these people with no manners anyway?

Then there's the councilman in Libby Montana who took out a restraining order against a town clerk allegedly because she disagreed with him.
We need to have better civil discourse and accept that not everybody will agree with us. And we need to stop listening to hate radio. There are better things to do with your time than to think up ways to defeat your enemy - I mean your neighbor.
Global warming is just that: the earth is warming up. And despite warnings about it a lot of folks just don't get it. But what bothers me is not the controversy itself  but the fact that the non believers don't want to do anything about pollution. I ask them, why are you so opposed to reducing polution? Do you want to continue to breathe dirty poisonous air? Do you want your children to?  Why would you condone building more coal fired power plants that are major polluntants. Oh yeah, they aren't in your backyard. Well let me tell ya, it's all in your backyard. What happens in China doesn't stay in China. And don't tell me that carbon dioxide is not a pollutant. You breathe it out because your body can't use it anymore. It is the waste product of using oxygen to live.
